Thank You, DC Universe.

So it is no surprise that I am a DC fan.  Let’s just say that Marvel is ZZZ-ville to me.  Civil War?  No thanks.  Whatever that drama is, I don’t need it.  I must say I have enjoyed Marvel Animated movies as of late.  They are improving.  They need to take a page from DC, though.  You can make a direct adaptation without having to treat your audience like they don’t know what they’re watching.  I really enjoyed watching Justice League: The New Frontier.  It was a well made animated film that had good voice acting.  The art direction was like reading a Darwyn Cooke comic, yet it was still DCU-esque.

The DVD also had a preview for Batman: Gotham Knight.  Talk about double exciting!  It looks pretty neat.  Dark and gritty, yet not too far down the anime chain.  I hope it is more exciting than the Animatrix.  Thing is, with it being about Batman and not Keaneu Reeves, I don’t see how it wont be exciting.

Last but not least, I am eagerly awaiting the Teen Titans Judas Contract animated film.  It will not be based off the series and will hopefully be PG-13 and show the graphic nature of Terra and Slade Wilson.  I mean, the show, although I love it, would never show a sexual relationship let alone one about an old man and a teenage girl.
